Bristol Blenheim in Canadian Service
Three Royal Canadian Air Force squadrons operated the Bristol Blenheim.
Coastal Command 404 Squadron used Blenheim Mk.IVF fighters from April 1941 to January 1943, when they were replaced with Bristol Beaufighters.
Fighter Command Squadron 406 operated the Blenheim Mk.IF from May to June 1941 before re-equipping with the Beaufughter Mk.IIF.
No. 407 Squadron RCAF used the Blenheim IV from May 1941 to July 1941 while working up to operational status with Coastal Command. Once operational the Blenheims were replaced by Lockheed Hudson bombers.
Four home based squadrons were equipped with the Bristol Bolingbroke, Canadian manufactured Blenheim Mk.IVs. The squadrons Nos. 8, 115, 119 and 147) performed coastal patrols from Canadian bases.
