Grumman Hellcat Fighters of HMS Pursuer
During Operation Dragoon, the invasion of Southern France, HMS Pursuer operated 4 Grumman Hellcats of other carriers when their decks were fouled. Hellcat Mk.II fighters of 898 NAS were embarked in July 1945. With the surrender of Japan, they were disembarked in November 1945.
