A20 Infantry Tank

The A20 Infantry Tank was designed to replace the British A12 Matilda and Valentine tanks. Designed with the anticipation that warfare would be similar to that in World War One, it was abandoned once experience in France demonstrated that this would not be the case. Instead, the design was modified to fit a new A22 criteria that became the Churchill tank.
