Bernard 82 Long Range Bomber

Bernard 82 Long Range Bomber

The first Bernard long range bomber prototype first flew on 11 December 1933. It was joined in March 1933 by a second prototype. Designed as a long range bomber for the French Air Force. Although a production order for ten aircraft was received, constant problems with the retractable undercarriage caused it to be cancelled. Testing continued until mid-1935. Although the second prototype was re-engined with a diesel CLM Lille 6As, (a licence-built Jumo 205) in 1936 no further testing was undertaken.
