The Blackburn Shark was a British carrier borne torpedo bomber. First flying in August 1933, a total of 269 were built. From 1937 it was replaced by the Fairey Swordfish, although it continued to be used for second line duties.
The Royal Canadian Air Force operated 26 Sharks until 1944 on shipping patrols off the Canadian west coast.
Portugal operated six floatplane versions of the Shark.
