Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Interned by Switzerland

During World War Two, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bombers that strayed into Swiss airspace were interned in Switzerland. Bomber crews flew damaged bombers to Switzerland, rather than land in occupied Europe. On several occasions, bombers accidently bombed Swiss towns and cities.
