Danish Coastal Defense Ship HDMS Peder Skram
HDMS Peder Skram was a Herluf Trolle-class coastal defence ship along with her sister ships Herluf Trolle and Olfert Fischer. Launched on 2 May 1908, she was commissioned in the Royal Danish Navy on 24 September 1908.
Following the German occupation of Denmark, Peder Skram was decommissioned. When the Germans attempted to seize the Danish fleet during Operation Safari on 23 August 1943, she was scuttled by her crew. Raised by the Germans and towed to Kiel she was refitted as an anti-aircraft and training ship and renamed Adler.
Adler was sunk by Allied bombing in April 1945. She was subsequently raised and scrapped.
