Hawker Hurricane in Soviet Service
During the Second World War, Britain supplied the Soviet Union with 2,834 Hawker Hurricane fighters. This was composed mostly of Mk. IIBs (including Canadian built Mk. X, XI and XII), along with over 1,000 Mk. IIC and 200 Mk. IIAs. A small number of 40mm armed Mk. IVs were supplied but not used operationally.
