Heinkel He 115 in German Service

The Heinkel He 115 was a seaplane operated by the German Luftwaffe during the Second World War. The initial prototype first flew in August 1937. Initially used for dropping mines in British waterways, operations were later moved to northern Norway on anti-shipping strikes. Capable of carrying bombs, torpedoes an aerial mines a total of 138 were built, of which six were sold to Norway, 12 to Sweden and two lent to Finland.
