Heinkel He 115 in Norwegian Service
Norway ordered twelve Heinkel He 115A-2 seaplanes, six of which were delivered in late 1939 / early 1940 (numbered F.50, F.52, F.54, F.56, F.58 and F.60). The remaining six aircraft were not delivered, due to the Second World War. During the German invasion of Norway, two additional He 115B-1s of 1/Ku/Fl/Gr 106 captured and renumbered F.62 and F.64.
Four Norwegian Heinkel He 115s (F.52, F.54, F.56 and F.64) escaped to England where they were operated by the RAF.
F.50 flew to Finland, where it operated against the Soviet Union.
F.60 was captured by Germany at Stavanger and F.62 was recaptured near Tromso.
