HMS Biter D97 Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier

HMS Biter was a Royal Navy escort carrier during the Second World War. She was commissioned in the Royal Navy on 6 May 1942. During World War Two, she escorted several convoys and participated in Operation Torch.

After World War Two, she was returned to the United States and lent to the French Navy, where she was renamed Dixmude.
