The Potez 230 was a French lightweight fighter project that first flew in March 1940. Testing revealed a top speed of 348mph, which was anticipated to improved with the fitting of a more powerful Hispano-Suiza 12Y engine. Testing was halted by the German invasion in 1940, with the sole prototype being transported to Germany for evaluation.
