Renard R.31 Belgian Reconnaissance Aircraft

The Renard R.31 was a Belgian reconnaissance aircraft of the 1930s. A total of 32 were built for the Belgian Air Force and although obsolete at the time the Germans invaded were still in front-line service.

Many were destroyed on the ground in the opening hours of the invasion. Those that remained flew 54 missions, suffering a large number of casualties to German fighters before the Belgian surrender.
