The Saunders Roe SR.177 was a British rocket / jet powered interceptor prototype of the 1950’s developed for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Developed from the Saunders Roe SR.53, the project was cancelled in 1957 when the first aircraft was 90% complete.
