SIPA S.1100 Counter-Insurgency Aircraft
Designed for the counter-insurgency role, the SIPA S.1100 first flew on 24 April 1958. Capable of observation, photography and ground support, it was planned to be equipped with two 20mm cannon and hard points under the wings. Only three months after its first flight, the prototype was involved in a fatal crash and all other design work was halted. A partially complete second prototype was not finished.
