SNCAC NC.510 French Reconnaissance Aircraft
First flying on 20 June 1938, the SNCAC NC.510 was designed as an army co-operation aircraft for the French Air Force. The original designed was improved by replacing the Gnome-Rhône 9Kfr radial engines with Gnome-Rhône 14M radial engines. Although the new engines were only 680hp vs 770hp for the originals they had a significantly smaller diameter. This resulted in an improved performance. This rebuild of the original prototype was designated the NC.510M.
The NC.510 was further refined into the NC.530 with the removal of the ventral tub. No production order was received for either version.
