Supermarine Sea Otter in Netherlands Service
The Netherland purchased eight Supermarine Sea Otter amphibian aircraft in 1950 for Air Search and Rescue. It was intended that some would also operates from the aircraft carrier HNLMS Karel Doorman (R81), so two were fitted with arrester hooks.
The Dutch Sea Otters were operated by 320 Squadron from February 1951 until 1953 when they were replaced by helicopters.
