Supermarine Spitfire
Famous for its role in the Battle of Britain, along with the Hawker Hurricane, the Supermarine Spitfire served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1938 until the mid-1950’s. Continually upgraded throughout its service life, the Spitfire remained the primary fighter of the RAF during World War Two.
The Supermarine Seafire was a carrier borne derivative of the Spitfire, operated by the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm.
