USS Roi CVE-103 US Navy Escort Carrier
USS Roi CVE-103 was a Casablanca=class escort carrier built for the US Navy during the Second World War. Launched on 22 March 1944, she was commissioned on 6 July 1944. Initially used as a transport, she carried out several missions before being assigned as a replenishment carriers. Replenishment carriers supplied replacement aircraft to the front-line fleet carriers, enabling them to stay on station longer. Roi undertook this task from July 1945 to the end of the war.
Following the end of hostilities, USS Roi undertook several Magic Carpet runs, repatriating US servicemen back to the USA. She was decommissioned on 9 May 1946 and sold for scrap on 31 December.
