Vickers Vulcan Biplane Airliner
The Vickers Vulcan was a bi-plane airliner with a capacity of eight passengers and the pilot. Entering service in 1922, they were retired by 1928. Three versions were built the Type 61 (five built) with a Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII and the Type 74 (to built) with a 450 hp Napier Lion engine and a single type 63 which was a cargo version of the Type 61. An additional Type 61 airframe remained incomplete after the test aircraft (G-EBET) was rejected by Qantas as being unsuitable for Australian conditions.
