Brisbane Water National Park

Brisbane Water National Park

Located on the NSW Central Coast near Gosford, Brisbane Water National Park protects ancient Aboriginal rock engravings and habitat for endangered plants and animals, while offering excellent walking and cycling tracks. Managed by NSW Parks and Wildlife Service, This 11,500 hectare national park is home to over 150 species of birds and numerous animals, including koalas and squirrel gliders.

We have visited the park many times for bushwalking and to see the Bulgandry Aboriginal Rock Engravings and the Gosford Glyphs.

How to get there

The most convenient way to explore the national park is by car, as this allows you to get where you want when you want. Car parks at each location are well maintained, but there is a charge, payable using a machine located there. From Sydney or Newcastle, the M1 Pacific Motorway is a quick and easy drive to the area.
